About

Twenty years of one job

RETRO GARAGE 95 — private collection of rare and classic cars.

How it started

In 2004 it was one car, bought for himself, and a conversation with a neighbour who had something similar sitting in his garage. A year later those conversations had become the job. The address book now holds several hundred people across the former Union and Europe who call when a garage somewhere is being cleared out.

How the collection grows

Sourcing never stops. I follow private estates, maintain contact with veteran collectors and travel to inspect each car in person. Every vehicle is acquired on my own initiative.

What we check

Whether the numbers on the units match the documents. Evidence of body repair and hidden corrosion in the chassis rails, sills, arches and floor. Completeness and originality of the major components. Legal status. Everything we find goes into the description, faults included: a hidden defect surfaces at handover and costs more than honesty would have.

What we do not do

We do not sell cars we have not seen. We do not roll back odometers or cover rust with cosmetics. We do not list cars with questionable origins.

02 — Location

The garage

Check-in, storage and pre-sale preparation happen in our own garage. A car arrives here after purchase, and this is where buyers inspect it if they come in person.
